An Old boat renewed.  Monkey Biz is a 70's Vintage Bertram 38 but you'd never know it. In 2000 and again in 2007, she underwent complete overhauls, including the new Cat engines and generator, complete rework of the entire interior and exterior, and it has remained in first class condition ever since. Monkey Biz I is part of the Monkey Biz Sportfishing fleet which includes Monkey Biz I, Monkey Biz II, Marlin Brando and Foxy Lady.  The Monkey Biz fleet is meticulously maintained to the owners high standards by professional skippers and crew Vinny Maggio, Eric Demarco, Brian, Boyd and Shawn.
Don’t let the name fool you. This machine has been designed, engineered, equipped and staffed for catching fish and the record speaks for itself. Captain Eric has run the Monkey Biz I and II along with Capt. Vinny Maggio on the island of Oahu since the late 1990's.  Monkey Biz I  has been part of the Sportfish Hawaii fleet since 1999 and has been a successful fishing operation ever since.  When the owner expanded his fleet and moved the boats to Kona in 2007, Eric and the crew moved with the boats.

A fish disposition policy like no other.  Monkey Biz Sportfishing believes you paid for the charter, you get the fish.  As such, all of the fish is yours if you want it.  Release anything if you like. As a courtesy, the crew will filet enough for a few meals.  If you would like to take more fish, you may take it whole, filet it yourself if you are skilled in fish cutting or work out an arrangement with the crew to filet it for you.

If you are looking for a fishing charter on a clean, comfortable boat complete with air-conditioning and all the toys, and you are looking to fish with a skipper that will show you a good time, consider the Monkey Biz. Sportfish Hawaii is proud to represent the Monkey Biz in our fleet of high-class charter boats. Please call or email us to book your trip.
