(

Sportfishing the Islands of Paradise will never be the same. Sportfish Hawaii, a Hawaii owned and operated company, will soon bring exotic and bountiful sportfishing charters to these islands in a unique and exciting way. In addition to our Hawaiian Sportfishing Products and Charter Referral Service (which focuses on shorter day trips), we will offer four and seven day fishing adventures aboard a luxury 100 foot yacht outfitted with enough provisions, bait and tackle necessary for six fishermen (that's right, trips will be limited to six) and four crew to experience an exciting sportfishing adventure that dreams are made of.

view1.jpg (170869 bytes) Imagine spending a week on a large comfortable ship reeling in some of the most powerful fish known to man. Conjure up images of spectacular tropical sunsets, the famous Hawaiian green flash, majestic blue oceans, gourmet food and drink, and yourself strapped into a fighting chair angling a thousand pound Pacific Blue Marlin.

This won’t be a relaxing trip as far as your straining body is concerned. In fact, we hope you step ashore with sore, aching biceps and barely enough energy to tell everyone you know about the amount and size of the fish you caught on board.

Your sportfishing adventure will start when our staff meets you at the Honolulu International Airport. We’ll load your bags directly into your stateroom on board, serve you up a fine dinner, and be underway before you can yell "Hana Pa’a!!" (fish on). If you are actually able to relax, which is difficult because of the unwavering anticipation of the trip ahead, you’ll get a great night’s sleep as the ship gently rocks and rolls its way to the fishland express.

By 05:00 the following morning when the ship reaches the first of several fishing grounds along the way, you won’t need an alarm clock to get you up; you’ll already be wide awake from the smell of coffee roasting in the galley and the burning anticipation of the day’s first strike (heck, you might already have had a strike during the night....we aren’t fussy about when fish hook up). Will it be a fifteen pound Mahi-Mahi or will it be a twelve hundred pound Blue Marlin? How about a two-hundred and sixty-five pound yellow-fin? They all hit the same lures, the same baits, and live in the same waters all year ‘round.
Your trip will continue throughout the week with unparalleled fishing, service and sunsets, and our Fishmaster Crew will do everything possible to ensure the ship is placed in the best locations to maximize fishing productivity. You will return to the dock the following Saturday morning and again be greeted by our staff (four day trips will run Sunday to Wednesday and Wednesday to Saturday). We will assist in taxidermy arrangements and the transportation of your share of food fish (tuna, ono, mahi-mahi) to your hometown.

In addition to all the usual safety gear, the ship will be equipped with a full range of fishing tackle ranging from light spinning tackle to fly gear to IGFA specification 80 and 130lb rods and reels, bird-detecting radar, forward and side scanning sonar, underwater and topside video cameras, computers with the latest chart plotting and bathymetric software, and world-wide communication equipment to facilitate voice and data transmissions with your home or office. Just imagine catching a grander on a Tuesday morning, taking a few photos just prior to release, and then jumping online to trade a few stocks and e-mail the fish photo(s) to your family and friends at home.

It will be an experience you’ll never forget.

Trips will begin in the spring of the year 2000. We’re in the planning phases of making your sportfishing dream become a reality. In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you about the things you’d like to experience in a trip like this, from the services you would expect to the disposition of the fish harvest. Please take a moment to fill out our questionnaire.   As a thank you we are offering our famous "Why Fish for Bass" t-shirts at 50% off the regular price (reg $12).
