We know the sale of fish is a very touchy subject as many feel the sale of fish essentially turns paying passengers into commercial deckhands.  However, traditional Hawaiian custom calls for consumption of all caught fish, and if the fish cannot be consumed by virtue of the volume, sale to others who can consume it has historically been the second preferable action.  What we are looking for here is to find out the prevailing opinion of our passengers so we can decide on the most appropriate action for the harvest.  We will not sell billfish as a part of this decision, as we do strongly support and promote the release of billfish.
11. If you catch a trophy fish and want it mounted, would you consider a replica mount made based on photos and measurements as an alternative to taking the actual fish? Please comment.
